The Nyonga Womens Shelter
Welfare
The shelter gives survivors access to a safe space to escape the violent environment that they have come from and where they can heal at their own pace.
Basic Needs
The shelter can accommodate at least 30 women and 15 children (4 bedrooms for women and 2 bed rooms for children) and is equipped with bedding to provide women a comfortable, safe place to stay.
The kitchen and pantry is available for meal preparation and food storage for survivors.
Medical Care
Our very own 'Star Durable Pads' are provided for survivors in need of these products. Currently due to limited funds we only offer emergency medical support for clinical management of rape survivors as a result of GBV.
