Legal Aid Service Provision
The shelter offers essential legal advice women facing current issues who are seeking redress or justice. We provide legal aid services and conduct legislative sensitization through community-based initiatives. Our efforts include media engagement and the documentation of relevant Ugandan legislation to raise awareness about rights, obligations, and implications for the general public.
Time with Police
In order to help the overwhelming numbers that flood the already understaffed police, the legal aid team dedicates time every two days in a week to support the police and other stakeholders through organizing alternative resolution meetings and providing advise on causes of actions.
Court Representation
We offer pro-bono services to vulnerable women and low-income women and children in form of court representation in both civil and criminal cases, Alternative Dispute Resolution and rehabilitations.
