Awareness & Advocacy

We lead community recreation activities that involve sharing knowledge to rebuild social networks through community self-help and resilience strategies.

1

Sharing Sessions

We hold quarterly sharing sessions which involve education on GBV in the form of our videos. We allow this time and space to share stories of hardship. This creates a sense of community and a network of female support for those who require it.

2

Engagement Meetings

We often hold engagement meetings with local leaders, media, politicians, police and other institutions. These meetings allow for discissions of legal aid services, investigations and case management of survivors

3

Community Forums

In local communities we hold forums which allow for the discussion and debate on gender based violence (GBV and sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR).

These forums will discuss the forms of GBV and SRHR, root causes, access to justice and strategies to cause change in communities. These forums are also used in schools and higher education institutions.
